How can I visit someone in jail?
All inmates will have an opportunity to fill out a visitation form at time of booking and every two months thereafter. Only those person(s) whose names appear on the visitation list will be permitted to visit. All visitors must posses a valid state issued driver's license or identification card. All visitors must be at least sixteen (16) years of age and must report to front desk at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the end of the visitation. Each visitor can only visit one (1) time during the visitation week. Visits will be limited to fifteen (15) minutes in length. Visitors must register and form an orderly line to be processed for visitation.

Can I give money or other items to someone in jail?
Inmates may only receive photographs and money, both must come in through U.S. mail.  Photographs may be censored by jail staff for appropriateness and money must be in the form of a cashier's check or money order.

How can I pick up an inmate's personal property?
Inmates may release their personal property to someone of their choice, Monday-Friday between 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., however inmates must retain a change of clothing. Inmates may not release portions of their property, they must release all or none. The person designated to pick up the personal property must report to the Lobby counter with proper identification. Prior to the property being released, the inmate is afforded the opportunity to confirm the identity of the person to whom the property is being released.

When can I bring court clothing to an inmate?
Court clothes will be accepted for inmates going to jury trial seven days prior to their scheduled court date. Court clothes will be accepted Monday - Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Clothing other than court clothes will not be exchanged unless the inmate's clothing is torn, bloody, or extremely dirty. This may be approved only one time; on an item for item basis.

Can a Deputy open my car if my keys are locked inside?
Because of the potential damage to vehicles, the Sheriff's Office does not open locked vehicles. A locksmith is your best alternative. Check "locksmith" in the yellow pages of your local telephone directory.

Inmates can fill out an "Inmate Request Form" and forward it to the Public Defender's Office.

The Sheriff's Office can not guarantee that civil papers will be served within a certain time-frame, but attempts to serve the papers will begin upon our receipt of the papers from the court.
